Energy Corridor District Businesses and Apartment Complexes now have an additional resource to continue to make the Energy Corridor District one of the safest commercial areas in Houston. The Energy Corridor District patrol uses marked patrol vehicles and bicycles to increase police visibility in the District, respond to District concerns, proactively address potential safety issues and implement long-term public safety solutions. The Houston Police Department officers patrolling the District were selected based on their interpersonal skills and specialized training in community policing techniques.
