Watson’s Pub Brew Fest Brings Craft Beer Celebration to Energy Corridor Farmer’s Market June 17

They make a formidable duo, craft beer and farm-fresh food, a pairing that will be hard to beat when The Energy Corridor Farmer’s Market joins forces with Watson’s House of Ales for the annual Watson’s Pub Brew Fest, Saturday, June 17.

Pour in some live music, a heap of food trucks and a dog-friendly atmosphere, and you get one fun afternoon in the iconic Grisby Square just southwest of IH-10 and State Hwy 6 at 14710 Grisby Rd.

Watson’s Pub Brew Fest presented by The Energy Corridor District will team up with the Energy Corridor Farmer’s Market, which will extend its normal Saturday hours to run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Brew Fest taps start flowing at noon and will pour until 4 p.m.

Sample beer from 16 local breweries during the fest, stroll the farmer’s market to buy produce and artisan foods, take in a beer garden and make your taste buds happy by sampling food truck specialties. You can even bring your dog.

When the new Energy Corridor Farmer’s Market opened in April and immediately started drawing crowds, The District and Watson’s House of Ales began exploring ideas to create an all-day destination for Grisby Square, says Sarah McDonner, communications and outreach coordinator for The District. It made perfect sense to combine the blossoming Farmer’s Market with Watson’s Pub Brew Fest, which has become a popular annual draw for The Energy Corridor.

Numerous vendors have been showcasing locally grown, seasonal produce and artisan foods at the Energy Corridor Farmer’s Market, which plays off the agricultural heritage the area near Grisby Square was supported.

A $15 Brew Fest ticket will get you entry, 10 beer sample tickets and a commemorative Watson’s Pub Brew Fest cup. Additional tickets will be available on location.
