New Traffic Patterns Help Reduce Commute

Green LightDrivers traveling along Eldridge Parkway will notice a change in traffic signals. The City of Houston recently retimed the traffic signals by lengthening the “green” time for signals from Westheimer to Dairy Ashford in an effort to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. With slightly longer cycles and a schedule that matches the signals on Westheimer, it appears to have helped traffic flow along Eldridge and the Katy Freeway frontage roads. The City also recently installed left turn signals along the service road on State Highway 6 at Park Row to increase the green time for cars heading northward.
