METRO Public Transportation Services in the Energy Corridor

METRO routes METRO bus routes provide several options for traveling to and from the Houston Energy Corridor. The primary north-south bus route in the Energy Corridor is the METRO 75 Eldridge Crosstown. The route connects transit riders to:

  • Memorial City Mall and downtown Houston via the 131 Memorial Express
  • Uptown Houston and the Galleria via the 82 Westheimer
  • Addicks Park & Ride Commuter service on the Katy Managed Lanes to and from downtown Houston and the Texas Medical Center via the 288 Addicks and 298 Addicks/TMC
  • Mission Bend Park & Ride Commuter service to Westchase and the Texas Medical Center via the 25 Richmond and 2 Bellaire

Energy Corridor resident Lawton Park (pictured right), an independent agent representing AFLAC, uses METRO to make business appointments.  According to Lawton, “METRO provides an economical and efficient alternative to jumping in the car alone and it has opened up new opportunities that I had not given much previous thought to.”
