In its quest to market The Energy Corridor as a premier place to live, work and invest, The Energy Corridor District (ECD) has won two gold trophies for excellence from one of the largest international marketing awards programs in the world.
The Communicator Awards 2015 has honored The District and its communications partner eSiteful with a “Gold Award of Excellence-Integrated Campaign” and a “Gold Award of Excellence-Print Advertising” for its efforts promoting EnergyFest 2014.
Sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), the Communicator Awards judges sifted through more than 6,000 entries from companies and advertising agencies to honor marketing that, according to the organization, “transcends innovation and craft - work that made a lasting impact.” AVIA members include professionals from a variety of international organizations including Conde Nast, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, Fry Hammond Barr, Lockheed Martin, MTV Networks, Pitney Bowes, Sotheby's Institute of Art, Time, Inc., Victoria's Secret, Yahoo! and Wired magazine.
“While The District is focused on transportation mobility, security and public safety, urban planning and beautification, an integral part of our mission is to promote The Energy Corridor,” explains Clark Martinson, general manager for The ECD. “Our communications efforts are designed to increase awareness and desirability for this energetic and dynamic place. It’s an honor to be recognized by the Communicator Awards once again.
“Ultimately, we hope to improve property values, along with employee recruitment and retention,” Martinson says.
Those branding efforts were recognized with several Communicator Awards in 2013, including a Silver Award of Distinction for special events, while honoring The District’s rebranding campaign, The Energy Corridor…Where Energy Moves.
