KBR Inc. has signed an 11-year lease on 78,000 square feet in the Eldridge Oaks building located at 1080 Eldridge Parkway. With an option to retain an additional 130,000 square feet in the building, KBR could ultimately occupy more than half of the available space in the building that has remained empty since its completion more than a year ago.
The global engineering, construction and services company will begin moving in this month with additional moves in February and March as space construction is completed. KBR plans on doubling the company’s presence in the Energy Corridor to handle anticipated growth in the oil and gas business unit. Four hundred employees will occupy the space on the first three floors of Eldridge Oaks.
Mike Boehler with Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. represented the company in the transaction, while David Baker and Paul Wittorf of Transwestern served as the leasing brokers for Eldridge Oaks.
