On Saturday, March 26 thousands of volunteers will clean up waterways throughout the Greater Houston area at the annual Rivers, Lakes, Bays N’ Bayous Trash Bash, the largest statewide event developed to emphasize the importance of water resources.
In the Energy Corridor, volunteers will gather at the gazebo at Terry Hershey Park, located at 15200 Memorial Drive, to clean the wooded areas along Buffalo Bayou in Terry Hershey Park from Highway 6 to Beltway 8. Volunteers will also clean parts of Langham Creek.
Registration takes place between 8 and 9 a.m., followed by the litter clean up from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. The volunteer activities conclude with lunch. Click here for specific details. Volunteers will receive a free lunch, door prizes and T-Shirts.
