The Energy Capital Run is a great opportunity for the whole family to get outdoors for an activity-filled morningsupporting The Joint Association to Stop Spina Bifida (JASSB). This year’s Energy Capital Run takes place on Saturday, October 24 starting at 8 a.m. at 1127 Eldridge Parkway. This family-friendly event features a 1 mile run for kids, a 1 mile run for adults, a 5K walk and a 5K competitive run. The scenic course winds through the beautifully landscaped Energy Corridor District. Enjoy a morning outdoors with free food, prizes and entertainment. The 5K Run/Walk and 1 mile adult run registration fee is $25; the 1 Mile Kids Run fee is $10; the Corporate Team fee is $350, and the Family Team fee is $25 per person.
Net proceeds from The Energy Capital Run will fund JASSB, a non-profit dedicated to educating and raising awareness about spina bifida, a developmental birth defect involving the incomplete closure of the embryonic neural tube that results in an incompletely formed spinal cord.
