Energy Corridor District to share how it helps energy move in a place with 22MM square feet of office space
The Houston Chapter of International Facility Management Association (IFMA) will host Clark Martinson, general manager of The Energy Corridor District, February 13 at the Norris Conference Center in CityCentre.
Martinson will share the story about The Energy Corridor’s evolution into one of the Gulf Coast’s largest employment centers that’s home to 22 million square feet of office space and over 300 multinational, national and local companies.
The presentation, “How the Energy Corridor Creates a Place Where Energy Moves,” reviews the District’s beginnings in 2001 – when the area offered limited office space, few sidewalks, fewer alternative transportation options and underutilized green spaces – and its vision for 2030, when the area is expected to have 147,000 employees.
With 440 members, IFMA Houston is dedicated to advancing the facility management profession and supporting members of the built environment community, according to Renee McNiel, president, IFMA Houston Chapter. For more information about IMFA Houston, visit www.ifmahouston.org.
