Increase Flexibility and Strength With Pilates

PilatesThe Westlake Club is now offering Pilates Reformer classes to non-members every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Pilates reformer utilizes equipment to build core strength and flexibility, different from mat pilates which only utilize body weight for resistance. A popular workout class across the country, pilates is known to improve breathing patterns and poor posture while increasing overall strength.

Offering a balance between strength and flexibility, pilates is ideal for injury prevention and rehabilitation. The class times will be determined based on demand, but are tentatively scheduled to start in the morning and run until 1 p.m.  Evening classes will be offered in the future based on participation. For more information about pilates classes, please contact Katharine Barber at 832-867-1059 or Morven Bancroft at 713-253-6834.

The Westlake Club is located at 570 WestLake Park Blvd. For more information, visit www.clubcorp.com/clubs/Westlake-Club.
