Girl Scouts Express Appreciation to Fire Station 78

Girl Scouts Express Appreciation to Fire Station 78As a thank you to Houston Fire Department Fire Station 78, located near Eldridge and Memorial, four members of Girl Scout Troop 12548 recently delivered a dozen hand-painted coffee mugs and homemade baked goods to the men that help protect the Energy Corridor.  Painted during a Girl Scout outing at Glazed Over, each mug was designed to reflect the Energy Corridor and Fire Station 78.  Troop 12548 whose members will be high school freshmen in the fall, spent time with the firemen, thanking them for their hard work and dedication and learning about what they do.

“We wanted to say thank you to the fire fighters of Fire Station 78 both for their service to the community and for serving as the drop site for more than 42,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies each year,” said Barbe Bozeman, one of Troop 12548’s leaders.  For years the station has partnered with local Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council by serving as the delivery and dispensing location for Girl Scout cookies in the area.
