Brand Campaign Scores Big Wins at International Awards Competition

AwardsOne of the leading international awards programs that recognizes big ideas in marketing and communications has honored The Energy Corridor District’s retooled branding effort, launched late last year.

The Energy Corridor District garnered several 2013 Communicator Awards. All told, the Communicator Awards reviewed more than 6,000 entries from companies and marketing agencies of all sizes. The Communicator Awards, according to the group, honors work that “transcends innovation and craft - work that made a lasting impact.”

Teaming up with eSiteful Corporation, a Houston-based marketing communications agency, The Energy Corridor District late last year launched a new branding campaign – positioning the district as a leading center for Houston’s energy business, and a premier residential area characterized by energetic and healthy lifestyles.

The theme of the new branding campaign, The Energy Corridor…Where Energy Moves, is woven throughout every single marketing communication initiative undertaken by The Energy Corridor District.

The 2013 Gold Award of Excellence went to an Energy Corridor Car Share newspaper advertisement. The Energy Corridor District recently launched its CarShare program at Eldridge Place, using the ad to generate interest and trial in a program that seeks to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality.

A 2013 Silver Award of Distinction for Websites – Government honored energycorridor.org. The redesigned website has seen increased readership since it was launched last fall.

The Energy Corridor District’s Rewarding Ways to Work poster took home a 2013 Silver Award of Distinction.

EnergyFest 2013 – The Energy Corridor’s first family street festival – won a 2013 Silver Award of Distinction for special events. The Energy Corridor District’s EnergyFest featured dozens of exhibitors, performing arts groups and food vendors along Eldridge Place last April.

“The Where Energy Moves campaign brings to life the way we think about our strategic plan for growth in the Energy Corridor,” says Clark Martinson, General Manager for The Energy Corridor District. “It’s an honor to have the work by eSiteful and our team recognized as 2013 Communicator Award winners.”
