Come on and Take a Free Ride (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)

Time is running out to try the 75 Eldridge Crosstown for free on Fridays

There may be no such thing as a free lunch, as economist Milton Friedman  famously said, but free rides are another matter, something rock “financial analyst” Edgar Winter espoused in his 1973 hit song.

All year long, the 75 Eldridge Crosstown METRO bus has been giving free rides on Fridays. And there are two months left of Fridays to sample the 75 Eldridge Crosstown for free.

Stops include the METRO Addicks and Mission Bend Park & Rides connecting riders to downtown Houston and the Texas Medical Center, as well as many popular Energy Corridor destinations, including shopping and employment centers. View the Destination Guide for a complete list.

Commuters have been taking advantage of Free Ride Fridays to discover the convenience of the 75 Eldridge Crosstown – thanks to The Energy Corridor District’s efforts to secure a Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) grant. That grant, and the free rides, ends September 30.

So come on and take a free ride. Visit 75Eldridge.org and prove Milton Friedman wrong.
