- If you’re looking for food, drinks and a good time close to home, La Centerra’s BIG Backyard Barbecue in Cinco Ranch is the place for you! Celebrations kick off at 5:30 p.m. and include live music, fireworks, and various food and beverages on Restaurant Row.
- For those who are looking for a unique and classical evening, we suggest the Houston Symphony’s “A Star-Spangled Salute,” led by Michael Krajewski. - Houston will set the stage for an extraordinary patriotic celebration at Mayor Annise Parker’s official Fourth of July event, Southwest Airlines Freedom Over Texas featuring concert appearances by stars Billy Currington and Grammy Award winner Sara Evans sponsored by Reliant. Freedom Over Texas offers fun for all ages including the Walmart All American Kids Zone and a Bud Light Zone for adults. The event begins at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and lasts until the fireworks display finishes at about 10 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and free for children 5 and under.
