Meet your favorite brewmaster noon–6p.m. Saturday, July 20th
The grill will be sizzling and the craft beers flowing at the Watson’s House of Ales Brew Fest, noon-6 p.m. Saturday, July 20.
At least nine local microbreweries are confirmed for the festival at The Energy Corridor ale house, just south of I-10 at 14656 Grisby Rd.
Brewmasters will be on hand to talk about their craft and hand out brewery swag. It’s a chance to learn about your favorite microbrew – or even how to brew beer or cider at home during afternoon classes.
The list of hometown breweries confirmed is impressive: 8th Wonder, Buffalo Bayou, Fort Bend Brewery, Karbach, Leprechaun Cider, No Label, Saint Arnold and Southern Star, with more possible.
Beer fest-goers can vote for their favorite brewery; the winner will get a tap at Watson’s House of Ales and be featured for a happy hour.
Outside, live music by SNAFU will be playing. Sausages, hot dogs, burgers and turkey legs will be grilling. And pretzels, the quintessential German drinking accompaniment, will be available. There will also be a Giant Jenga game and old fashioned fun like bag toss and ring toss.
