West Gateway 10 Scenic District Needs Houston Resident Signatures

The Energy Corridor District is collecting signatures from residents of the City of Houston in support of creating a scenic district along the new Katy Freeway in the Energy Corridor. The proposed scenic district would limit the height and size of on-premise ground signs and prohibit any new billboards from being erected unless a permit has already been granted.

West Houston Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Rescheduled

Due to the April 28, 2009 flood, the ribbon cutting of the West Houston Trail was rescheduled for Saturday May 16, 2009. The flood waters have receded and the trail is ready to roll. We encourage you to ride your bike to the event. The ribbon cutting will take place at the new pedestrian bicyclist bridge across Buffalo Bayou parallel to Eldridge Parkway between Enclave and Memorial Drive.
