National Park Service Energy Corridor Trail Partnership
The Energy Corridor District recently announced that it was selected by the National Park Service’s Rivers and Trails program to receive planning assistance for a West Houston Trail System. The plan includes trail relocation as well as new opportunities for recreation and bicycle commuting. The National Park Service will assist the Energy Corridor District by engaging partners in a planning process to define trail priorities as well as help create funding strategies to implement the community supported trail system.
